What happens if the worst case scenario comes true? You’re not around and your child gets attacked by a predator. Shouldn’t they have a chance? Well, in this Wiltshire martial arts class teacher Matt Fiddes teaches children the best ways to free themselves from the grasp of a malicious attacker.
Not only does he show the children the physical techniques to help them in a potential time of dire need but he also gives them great and practical advice as well. For instance, he tells the kids rather than yelling “Help!” if attacked you should yell “Fire!” as it has been statistically shown to garner more attention from people within earshot based on the fact that the potential for danger also affects them.
The techniques Matt teaches in class range from very simple to quite complex. The list of actual techniques includes: arm twist and release which is a simple way to escape a wrist grab, front choke escape which shows you the most efficient way to escape from a front choke, a bear hug escape which shows you the best way to get out of a bear hug and much more!
